Terms of Service

These terms explain the rules for using HandyDesk, what you control, what we provide, and where each of us is responsible.

Last updated: August 12, 2026

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and the provider of HandyDesk (“HandyDesk,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). They apply to handydesk.app, app.handydesk.app, Leo, and related services we provide (the “Service”).

By creating an account, using the Service, or accepting these Terms during signup, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you use HandyDesk for a business or organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind that business or organization. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement.

2. Accounts and access

You must provide accurate account information and keep it current. You are responsible for protecting passwords, connected accounts, devices, and access granted to team members. Actions taken through your account are treated as authorized by you unless you promptly report unauthorized access.

You may allow team members to use the Service only for your business and only with appropriate permissions. You are responsible for their use of HandyDesk and for removing access when it is no longer needed.

3. Subscription, billing, and cancellation

HandyDesk is offered as a month-to-month subscription at the price shown during signup or checkout. The current public plans are Leads by Leo at $50 per month and the complete Operator Plan at $100 per month. Both include AI for normal day-to-day use; only usage above the included monthly allowance may be billed separately. Taxes, payment-processing charges, or optional services—if any—must be disclosed before they are charged.

  • Free trial: eligible new operators may use HandyDesk for 14 days before the monthly subscription begins. Any payment method or automatic-start terms will be shown during enrollment.
  • Automatic renewal: your subscription renews each month until canceled.
  • Payment authorization: you authorize HandyDesk and its payment processor to charge your selected payment method for recurring fees and disclosed charges.
  • Cancellation: you may cancel through the subscription controls in HandyDesk or by contacting support. Cancellation stops the next renewal and normally takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period.
  • Refunds: fees already paid are generally non-refundable and are not prorated, except where required by law or when we state otherwise in writing.
  • Price changes: we may change future pricing with advance notice. A price change will not alter a billing period you already paid for.

We earn renewal every month. We will not require a longer cancellation process than the signup process or intentionally trap you in the Service.

4. Operator responsibilities

You—not HandyDesk—operate the service business and remain responsible for your customers, work, employees, subcontractors, pricing, estimates, scheduling, permits, licenses, insurance, taxes, safety, workmanship, contracts, collections, refunds, and compliance with applicable law.

You are responsible for the accuracy of information entered into HandyDesk and for reviewing customer-facing messages, estimates, invoices, schedules, and other actions before they are sent or relied upon.

Customer communications

You may use HandyDesk to send email, text messages, appointment notices, and other communications only when you have the right and any consent required to contact the recipient. You must honor opt-outs and applicable messaging, telemarketing, privacy, and anti-spam laws. Do not use HandyDesk with purchased contact lists, deceptive sender information, or unlawful automated outreach.

5. Your data and customer relationships

You retain ownership of the business and customer information, content, photos, messages, records, and instructions you submit to HandyDesk (“Customer Data”). Your customer relationships stay yours. HandyDesk does not market to, cross-sell to, or compete for your customers.

You grant HandyDesk a limited, non-exclusive right to host, copy, process, transmit, display, and create necessary technical derivatives of Customer Data solely to provide, secure, support, and improve the user-facing Service, follow your instructions, and comply with law.

You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to place Customer Data in HandyDesk and instruct us to process it. Our collection, use, sharing, retention, and deletion practices are described in the Privacy Policy.

We may create aggregated or de-identified operational information that does not identify an operator, customer, exact address, message, note, or photo. We do not sell raw operator-level or customer-level data.

6. Google and other connected services

You may choose to connect third-party services such as Google, Gmail, Google Calendar, payment processors, communications providers, and other integrations. Your use of those services is also governed by their terms and privacy policies.

HandyDesk requests only the permissions presented during connection and uses connected data only for the features you authorize. You may disconnect a service, but disconnecting does not automatically delete records already imported, created, sent, or saved in HandyDesk. The Privacy Policy explains Google access, storage, sharing, retention, deletion, disconnect, and revocation in detail.

We are not responsible for a third-party service's availability, changes, security, pricing, or decisions to limit or end an integration. Google API data is handled according to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

7. Leo and AI-assisted features

Leo helps organize context, analyze information, draft content, and surface possible next actions. AI-generated output can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. Leo is an assistant—not a licensed accountant, attorney, engineer, healthcare professional, safety inspector, or substitute for your judgment.

  • Review output before using it or sending it to a customer.
  • Verify prices, measurements, schedules, addresses, legal requirements, safety details, and payment information.
  • Do not rely on Leo as the sole basis for emergency, safety-critical, legal, employment, lending, insurance, or other high-impact decisions.
  • Customer-facing actions are designed for operator review and approval unless you knowingly enable a clearly described automation.

Feedback you provide about Leo may be used to improve HandyDesk. Google user data is not used to train generalized AI models.

8. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

  • Break the law, violate another person's rights, or facilitate fraud, harassment, discrimination, or abuse.
  • Send spam, deceptive messages, unlawful marketing, malware, or harmful content.
  • Access data, accounts, tenants, or systems without authorization.
  • Probe, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, bypass security, or interfere with the Service except where law expressly allows.
  • Upload content you do not have the right to use, or use HandyDesk to build a competing dataset or model from other operators' data.
  • Misrepresent HandyDesk output as verified professional advice or use it for prohibited high-impact automated decisions.

We may investigate suspected abuse and limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect operators, customers, HandyDesk, or the public.

9. Service changes and availability

We work to keep HandyDesk reliable, but the Service may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance, security, provider outages, emergencies, or changes. Features may evolve, and beta or early-access features may change more quickly.

We may modify or discontinue a feature. When a material change would significantly reduce paid functionality, we will provide reasonable notice when practical. HandyDesk does not guarantee uninterrupted service, permanent compatibility with every third party, or that every error will be corrected immediately.

10. Suspension, termination, and data export

You may stop using HandyDesk or cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for nonpayment, material breach, unlawful use, security risk, abuse, or conduct that threatens the Service or others. When practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to cure a fixable breach.

Before closing an account, export records you need. We will provide reasonable access to available export or deletion processes, subject to security, account verification, legal holds, payment records, and backup limitations described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimers and limits

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, HandyDesk disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service, connected providers, or Leo output will always be available, accurate, complete, secure, or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HandyDesk will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost business, lost goodwill, or lost data arising from the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HandyDesk's total liability for all claims arising from the Service will not exceed the amount you paid HandyDesk during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.

You agree to defend and indemnify HandyDesk from third-party claims arising from your business operations, Customer Data, communications, violation of law, or material breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by HandyDesk's own misconduct.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. State or federal courts located in Denton County, Texas will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, unless applicable law requires a different forum. Before filing a claim, each party agrees to make a good-faith effort to resolve the dispute through written support contact.

12. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms as HandyDesk changes. Material updates will be posted here and, when appropriate, communicated inside the Service. Continuing to use the Service after updated Terms become effective means you accept them; if you do not agree, you must stop using the Service and cancel before the change takes effect.

  • Email: info@handydesk.app.
  • Public visitors: use the HandyDesk contact form and identify the request in your message.
